Hyatt has arrived in the Thai capital for the first time with the launch of the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. Located near the city’s Nana neighborhood, the hotel is part of a 31-story mixed-use development conceived by local firm OBA.
Bangkok firm PIA designed the hotel in homage to the golden ages of Thai history through a contemporary lens. Sculptures from local artist Ajarn Nontiwat Jantanpalin complement tranquil, landscaped gardens. The 273 guestrooms and 21 suites maximize city views via floor-to-ceiling windows. The 2,250-square-foot presidential suite on the 28th floor boasts a dining room, a private workout room, and an expansive outdoor terrace. Guests staying on the hotel’s 27th floor can access the indoor-outdoor Regency Club Lounge.
F&B concepts include the casual Thai eatery Market Café and the rooftop space Spectrum Lounge & Bar, which is the first project in Thailand crafted by Tokyo-based Super Potato. The 850-person Regency Ballroom is housed among the 14,630 square feet of meeting and event space. Guests are welcomed to the sixth floor with a freeform, outdoor pool enveloped by lush vegetation, an outdoor whirlpool, pool bar, and steam room. A 24-hour fitness center is also featured.
