Marriott International has announced that Ian Schrager’s luxury hotel brand EDITION is slated to expand to Tampa, Florida. The 173-room hotel will open within a 26-story tower in the heart of the Water Street neighborhood, which will also host a newly constructed JW Marriott in 2020.
New York-based architect Morris Adjmi will collaborate on the property with Florida-based architecture firm Nicholas Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates, while Roman and Williams will spearhead the hotel’s interior design. Dining and retail will anchor the ground floor of the hotel along with a high-end restaurant from the Ian Schrager Company that will activate the surrounding streetscape. Among the onsite amenities will be a rooftop pool and an adjacent bar and restaurant. An expansive spa and fitness center will be included as well.
