The InterContinental Hong Kong has revealed plans to close its doors for a major renovation beginning in the first quarter of 2019. The contemporary facelift will focus on all accommodations and public spaces including restaurants and event venues. The façade will also receive an aesthetical upgrade.
Led by designer Gwenael Nicolas, Tokyo-based practice Curiosity Inc. will spearhead the transformation. Dining concepts and event spaces are scheduled to reopen by late summer 2019. The signature Cantonese concept Yan Toh Heen, which boasts two Michelin stars, will remain open for dinner throughout the renovation.
