InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened its 38th property in China—the InterContinental Shanghai NECC inside the city’s National Exhibition and Convention Center, the world’s largest single building and exhibition complex. Housed within the Hongqiao CBD, the 536-room flagship Shanghai property is the development’s first luxury accommodation. The hotel features four restaurants and lounges and more than 23,680 square feet of event and meeting space.
InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. The brand currently encompasses 183 hotels in more than 60 countries worldwide.
