New York-based architectural firm Ismael Leyva Architects designed the conversion of the Marmara Park Avenue hotel in New York. Marmara Hotels & Residences purchased the property in 2012.
The Marmara Park Avenue hotel will be 22 stories with 128 guestrooms, including a mix of extended-stay and transient guestrooms, as well as deluxe duplex penthouse units.
Ismael Leyva Architects has overseen its design from a commercial office building to upscale loft condominiums to its current redesign into a hybrid hotel. The design preserved the nearly 100-year-old building, but Ismael Leyva Architects modified designs for the structure as the intended use has changed.
