Capella Hotel Group has partnered with China Gezhouba Group Real Estate to launch the Capella Sanya later this year. Slated to open in the final quarter of 2018, the property will arrive along the coast of Bless Bay on Hainan Island.
The Kuala Lumpur-based Jean-Michel Gathy and Bangkok’s Bill Bensley will collaborate on the luxury retreat , drawing inspiration from the adventures of Chinese traders along the Silk Road. Spread across nearly 35 acres, the Capella Sanya will comprise 190 guestrooms, suites, and villas. Accommodations will include executive suites, two- to four-bedroom villas, a presidential suite within the Manor House, and five low-rise mansions for an elevated guest experience. Featured among the onsite amenities will be an authentic Chinese noodle bar and lobby lounge as well as a wellness sanctuary.
