The third location of Hotel Zero Degrees recently broke ground in Danbury, Connecticut, with architecture and interior design services by Jonathan Nehmer + Associates (JN+A) and HVS Design.
Owned by RMS Companies, the property will feature 111 guestrooms, a 100-seat restaurant, and meeting space. Conceived as a modern lodge, the design plays off contrasts between rugged architecture and contemporary furnishings and finishes.
Natural, earthy materials connect the hotel to its surrounding wooded landscape, with complementary modern furnishings that create an updated and eclectic lodge look. Large windows bring the outdoors into the public spaces, with multiple seating areas offering views of the scenery. The flexible seating and open floorplan create options for guests to gather and connect.Â
Guestrooms feature a minimal palette of warm gray and green tones, with pops of black adding a graphic touch. The furnishings are straightforward and have clean lines that allude to a relaxed lifestyle.
Hotel Zero Degrees Danbury is expected to open by the end of the year, when it will join existing Hotel Zero Degrees properties in Norwalk and Stamford, Connecticut. Â Â
