Journal Hotels CEO an co-owner Stephen Brandman and developer Don Pebbles have announced plans to collaborate on the redevelopment of the former Philadelphia Family Court hotel into the first Journal property in the city. A fixture of Logan Square, the historic hotel is housed within an iconic Beaux-Arts building and will be reimagined as a 210-room hotel with more than 20,000 square feet of restaurant and public space including a rooftop bar when it opens in 2021.
Forthcoming properties in the Journal Hotel portfolio include the Hotel Clark and the Trinity Hotel, both slated to debut in Downtown Los Angeles in fall 2019 and early 2020, respectively.
