This fall, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts will unveil the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa.
Architect Jim Olson, founding principal of Seattle-based Olson Kundig Architects, will design the 299-room beachfront resort in collaboration with Mexico City-based IDEA Asociados.
Located 25 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport amidst the desert dunes of Mexico’s Puerto Los Cabos community, the hotel will feature an open-air lobby with public spaces dedicated to displaying contemporary art crafted by international artists, and several private and semi-private terraces and gardens.
All accommodations will provide guests with unobstructed ocean views.
The Griffin Club—a separate 45-room boutique hotel—will sit within the resort and offer its own amenities, such as a movie theater, private beach, pool, reserved spaces at the resort’s Jasha Spa, the Mayma lounge bar, and a private business center.
The F&B program will include seven restaurants and bars, such as its signature chef Thierry Blouet-helmed Café des Artistes, which will feature indoor and outdoor seating, a chef’s private table, and a bar area. Guests will also have the option to dine at Nak & Grill bar and the P’yote rooftop bar on the hotel’s upper terrace.
More than 37,000 square feet of meeting space will be available and include the 7,950-square-foot Mila ballroom, the Kepe gazebo, and the 7,104-square-foot Sum-San amphitheater with a stage surrounded by stadium seating and gardens.
Additional amenities will include infinity pools, an indoor pool, the 21,000-square-foot Jasha spa, fitness center, beach club, retail shops, exclusive access to the local private marina and golf courses, and a modern version of the traditional Mexican temazcal sweat lodge.
