The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa is set to reveal a comprehensive refresh early next month. Home to more than 1,000 resort suites, the hotel will reintroduce itself with a revitalized spirit influenced by the nearby Blanco River central wellspring.
Dallas-based designer Seifert Murphy oversaw the redevelopment of the property, whose casual elegance permeates across revamped guestrooms that integrate nature-inspired details. Each suite is wrapped in a new color palette reflective of rushing water and even the signature cliffs of the region to round out an invigorating aesthetic. Contemporary, durable textiles are featured in the reimagined accommodations alongside unique headboards that recall the stones and rocks that shape San Antonio’s identity, while an artistic reinterpretation of the limestones stacked along the Blanco River further punctuate the redesign. New furnishings, light fixtures, and select millwork elements are also combined with vertical directives to contrast an organic sense of motion evoked by the architecture. Additional natural materials including copper, limestone, and leather instill a warm, residential-style ambiance as well.
