Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is expanding its pipeline in Lebanon with the forthcoming Mandarin Oriental, Beirut—to open in 2018.
The contemporary, luxury property is under development by the Olayan Group and will comprise two towers in the city’s Central District. It will be nearby retail outlets, restaurants, nightlife activities, and 15 minutes away from the Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport.
The property’s south tower will include the 280-room hotel with 25 branded residences; while the north tower will house 103 Residences at Mandarin Oriental.
Designed by Singapore-based Kerry Hill Architects, the urban resort will feature local sandstone elements with outdoor spaces, colonnades, and rooftop terraces.
Mandarin Oriental, Beirut will offer several F&B options, including an all-day dining restaurant and bar, a lobby lounge, a club lounge that spans the towers’ lower levels, and a fine dining restaurant and bar that will occupy the top of both towers.
Hotel meeting space will be divided amongst a 300-seat grand ballroom, a 270-seat junior ballroom, and a variety of conference rooms. Additional amenities will include the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, with a fitness center and both an indoor and outdoor pool.
