Newark, New Jersey-based firm Kraig Kalashian Architecture & Design has completed the transformation of the public spaces at the Kimpton Muse Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The extensive refresh impacted the lobby area, the hotel’s bar, as well as its fitness center.
Organically linked to the Muse Bar, the spacious lobby is redesigned to evoke a classic New York-style sophistication. Studded metal tiles reflect the gritty aesthetic of the city in contrast to plush velvet details, layered textures, and sheens. Meanwhile, the upgraded 1,000-square-foot, 24-hour fitness center showcases new treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, in addition to other updated fitness technologies.
