The Kimpton Nine Zero in Boston has announced that it will undergo a comprehensive renovation anticipated for completion in late winter 2018. Locally based practice Korn Design will collaborate on the redesign with HBA.
The hotel’s 190 guestrooms and suites as well as its living room-style lobby and 2,400 square feet of private event space and workspaces will all be renovated. Modern details will complement antique touches and bespoke, residential-style notes that evoke American design traditions. Public spaces will be endowed with rich velvets and stone and metallic finishes, while old-fashioned elements like vintage books and typewriters will be stationed throughout. Rooms will feature leather-adorned bedframes and comfy midcentury seating.
