InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced that the Kimpton Tokyo Shinjuku will make its debut in 2020, signaling the arrival of the Kimpton brand in Japan. IHG currently operates 33 Japanese hotels across three other brands.
Already under construction, the 162-room hotel will house three meeting spaces to host up to 300 people. Additional venues include a fitness studio, a multifunctional chapel, and three locally inspired restaurants. The living room lobby will host complementary coffee and tea breaks as well as an evening social hour.
Kimpton currently maintains a pipeline of 20 properties set to join its existing 66 hotels.
