La Cantera Hill Country Resort, managed by Destination Hotels, is readying for reopening after its multimillion-dollar transformation. The 550-acre resort, which suspended overnight guest accommodations in November 2014, will welcome back guests in April.
“All elements of the resort’s transformation have been carefully designed to elevate guest experiences and position the property as the preeminent resort in Texas,” says John Spomer, vice president and managing director of La Cantera Hill Country Resort. “Throughout this process, we are holding true to our commitment to create truly unforgettable experiences and rediscover the Hill Country in a relaxed yet sophisticated setting that is unrivalled in San Antonio.”
Both the resort and adult pools have been completely redesigned and will feature expanded seating, private cabanas, and dedicated F&B options with Hill Country views.
For the F&B outlets, Sire Bar will serve curated cocktails, while guests can enjoy charcuterie offerings from Bocado. SweetFire Kitchen, the resort’s primary restaurant with an exhibition kitchen, will feature private dining rooms and al fresco dining overlooking Plaza San Saba. Primero Cantina, adjacent to the resort pool, will offer Tex-American creations in a vibrant, upscale environment.
