Groupe Galia is gearing up to open La Fondation, a multi-use building in Paris that will house a 5-star hotel (with 55 rooms and three suites), two restaurants, an auditorium with office spaces, a sports club, a climbing wall, and more.
La Fondation’s timeless design
Envisioned by New York-based studio Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors, La Fondation embodies a warm, enveloping atmosphere. The design team worked in close collaboration with craftsmen to create an elegant, timeless setting that features a curated art program.
The building, designed by architecture firm PCA-STREAM, stands as exposed concrete structure with Brutalist accents and large panoramic windows, bringing a refreshing twist to Rue Legendre. This aesthetic was largely achieved by an effort to rehabilitate the building’s heritage, where the preexisting structure and foundations were sublimated.
“We aimed for a beautiful, pleasant space that gives pride of place to the outdoors, a setting where everyday concerns disappear,” says Brice Errera, president of Groupe Galia.
La Fondation is set to launch in the second quarter of 2024.
