Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened the Le Méridien Charlotte in North Carolina following a multimillion-dollar transformation.
“Le Méridien is experiencing strong growth momentum in North America, nearly tripling our portfolio since Starwood first acquired the brand in 2005,” says Brian Povinelli, global brand leader of Le Méridien and Westin. “Charlotte shares in our passions for culture, the arts, and cuisine, and we look forward to helping creative and curious minded travelers unlock the destination through our locally inspired programming and culinary offerings.”
Le Méridien Charlotte features 300 guestrooms with 18 suites, including three executive suites featuring contemporary and midcentury-inspired furnishings. The hotel also boasts 55,000 square feet of event space as part of the dual-branded complex, which includes the 305-room Sheraton Charlotte Hotel, the 16,000-square-foot Symphony ballroom and the 8,000-square-foot Carolina ballroom for corporate meetings and social functions. Le Méridien Charlotte also boasts the newly opened Evoke restaurant, Longitude bar, and a fitness center.
