Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, has opened Le Méridien Paro, Riverfront, the brand’s second hotel in Bhutan.
The property features locally inspired work by American photographer Gray Malin that was commissioned from the brand’s “Follow Me” partnership—a global collaboration that will see video art installations and still photography by several artists integrated throughout Le Méridien properties worldwide.
“From the rice paddy fields to the riverside, shooting the series, which will be included in the second installation of the ‘Follow Me’ partnership with Le Méridien, was truly a moving experience,” says Malin. “Bhutanese people and their breathtaking landscape both evoke an overwhelming sense of happiness that served as my inspiration for the collection.”
Located near the Eastern Himalayas and Paro International Airport, the intimate 59-room hotel offers contemporary accommodations that were designed with a sense of place.
Amenities include a pool, fitness center, and the brand’s signature Explore Spa.
