The Levee has opened in Tel Aviv’s quaint Neve Tzedek district as a new longterm stay concept housed within a historic villa first constructed in 1913. Formerly known as the Gurvetich House, the property underwent nearly a decade of overhauls to prepare for its next chapter, with Israeli-Belgian designer Yael Siso leading the redesign.
Ranging from 1,240 to 3,000 square feet, all eight accommodations feature ample space and a sense of modern luxury reminiscent of the original glory of Old World Tel Aviv. Wide windows and high ceilings, which ascend nearly a dozen feet, define the loft-like interiors, accented by untreated cement walls that express the wabi sabi-style beauty of the historic White City. European furnishings infuse warmth alongside wooden floors and minimalist lighting. The onsite penthouse stretches across the rooftop of the property with metal grating and 360-degree panoramic views.
