New York-based development group Lightstone has broken ground on the Moxy NoMad, one of four Moxy hotels it is developing in New York City in partnership with Marriott International. The 348-room, 34-story hotel will house two restaurants, a bar, lounge, fitness center, café, and collaborative workspaces. A rooftop bar and lounge offers views of the Manhattan skyline and the Empire State Building. It is slated for completion in 2017.
Lightstone is spearheading the effort to add 1,500 guestrooms to the brand’s New York portfolio. Construction is already underway on Moxy’s 618-room Times Square location, which is set to debut in the spring of 2017. Lightstone is also developing locations in Miami, Los Angeles, and West Hollywood.
