The Hilton Chicago has reintroduced its dual Imperial suites following a redesign by Josh Raether of Looney & Associates. Overlooking the gardens of Grant Park and Lake Michigan, the suites have been reimagined as a bridge between the past and future of the historic property.
To infuse a classic sense of luxury, Raether drew inspiration from the hotel’s most iconic guests to date: Queen Elizabeth II and Elizabeth Taylor. Traditional architecture is highlighted alongside contemporary details that rejuvenate the space with bold geometric motifs in lighting, carpeting, and artwork. Soft, organic textures and jewel tones punctuate the neutral palette of the interiors, while a new floor-to-ceiling white onyx fireplace installed in both units serves as a central focal point.
