InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the launch of the first property in its avid hotels portfolio. The new-build avid hotel Oklahoma City-Quail Springs houses 87 guestrooms, all of which are designed for optimized sleep thanks to elements ranging from blackout roller shades to noise reducing details. The modern concept is also adorned with eye-catching color and abundant exposure to natural light. A grab-and-go space, coffee shop, fitness center, and outdoor saltwater pool are also featured onsite.
“Opening our first Avid Hotels property less than a year after the brand launch is an important milestone for IHG,” says Elie Maalouf, CEO, the Americas, IHG. “We worked closely with our owner advisory board, including leading owners such as Champion Hotels, to develop a brand that is just right for both guests and owners. The strong momentum of Avid Hotels firmly positions the brand as a long-term driver of growth for IHG in the Americas.”
The brand is slated to grow its footprint to roughly 130 locations over the next three to five years.
