Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como has opened on shoreline of the village of Blevio, Italy. Milan-based designer Eric Egan spearheaded the transformation of the 19th-century Villa Roccabruna at the heart of the resort, as well as the onsite accommodations and public areas.
The design embraces its romantic backdrop with a landscape design from Patrizia Pozzi that references the Neoclassical elements of the original villa and gardens. In addition to 21 guestrooms, 52 suites, and two private standalone villas, a swimming pool and spacious sundeck are featured along with F&B options overseen by chef Vincenzo Guarino. The CO.MO Bar & Bistrot overlooks the lake from a spacious terrace and the contemporary fine dining concept L˜ARIA is nestled within the lakefront building at the heart of the gardens.
Rounding out the onsite amenties is the expansive spa facility, which comprises four private spa suites, a beauty studio, and a fitness center.
