Mandarin Oriental is set to enter the South Korea market with a luxury hotel in Seoul’s Central Business District, slated to open in 2030.
Conceived as an intimate retreat with the character of a curated private club, the 128-room hotel will feature interiors by André Fu Studio. The Hong Kong firm will imbue the property with a sense of understated elegance layered with references to the essence of Seoul.
The dining lineup at Mandarin Oriental Seoul
Culinary experiences will take centerstage across the property. A restaurant on the 21st floor will offer panoramic views of the city, while the floor below will house two distinct concepts: one channeling the elevated international style of SOMM (the Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong’s sommelier-led restaurant) and another dedicated to refined Chinese cuisine. A high-end Korean chef’s counter will round out the floor, adding a theatrical dining dimension.
On the ground floor, a bar, lounge, and the Mandarin Cake Shop will create vibrant gathering points for both guests and locals. Several venues will also feature private dining rooms for more intimate occasions.
Amenities at the South Korean outpost
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental will span four floors, merging Korea’s healing traditions with advanced beauty, recovery, and performance therapies. Natural materials, ambient lighting, and immersive art installations will shape a serene setting, which will be complemented by a pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a private outdoor terrace.
Additional amenities will include a golf academy with multiple simulators, a multiball court, games room, and a dedicated kids’ club.
The property will also boast a grand ballroom, versatile function rooms, and an outdoor terrace designed to accommodate business and social gatherings.
