Mandarin Oriental is set to launch its Beijing outpost, the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing, in the heart of the Chinese capital early next year. Overlooking the Forbidden City, the luxury boutique hotel will open as part of the retail destination WF Central.
Beginning at a minimum of nearly 600 square feet, the hotel’s 73 guestrooms will be housed across the upper two levels of WF Central with a sophisticated aesthetic that will comprise a fresh and bright palette, floor-to-ceiling windows, new technology, and marble-tiled bathrooms. Luxury will continue to unfold across the hotel’s two stylish restaurants, rooftop bar and garden terrace. Café Zi will host all-day dining, while the Mandarin Grill + Bar will boast interiors crafted by New York-based designer Adam D. Tihany. MO Bar will round out the onsite F&B options. The jewel of the hotel amenities, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing will comprise four suites as well as a glass-roofed lap pool.
