Margaritaville Holdings has announced plans to expand into the Big Apple with the launch of a new Margaritaville Resort in New York’s Times Square. The $300 million project will stretch 29 stories above the heart of Manhattan upon completion in late 2020.
Designed by Bennington County, Vermont-based architecture practice the McBride Company, the 234-room hotel will aim to infuse the brand’s signature laidback spirit throughout the urban space with a casual-luxe design as well as the St. Somewhere Spa. The rooftop concept LandShark Bar & Grill will open along with a pool, while the F&B lineup is rounded out with a Margaritaville Restaurant, the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar, Floridays Airstream Café, and the maiden concept Chill bar. Retail will be included in the lobby.
