Marriott International has revealed plans to expand its presence across the European market with the addition of at least 58,000 guestrooms by 2020. The company’s growth efforts will focus on Millennials as well as the upscale segment, the latter of which it hopes to lead.
Marriott’s Moxy Hotels brand will see the most growth, currently maintaining a pipeline of 18,000 guestrooms slated to launch over the next three years in major cities including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Oslo, and Vienna. AC Hotels, Aloft Hotels, and Four Points by Sheraton are each set to double their portfolios by 2020, while the W Hotels brand will be positioned to triple its outposts. Courtyard Hotels will expand in Europe by adding more than 12,000 opened and signed rooms by 2020, while the Delta Hotels brand will also make its debut with more than 4,000 guestrooms.
