Meliá Hotels has introduced its ME by Meliá brand—promoting both individualized experiences and social interaction—to the U.S. with the newly launched ME Miami. Centrally located downtown, the 129-room hotel features architecture by locally based Zyscovich Architects reflecting the influence of the surrounding community.
Floor-to-ceiling windows, eye-catching artwork, abundant greenery, and multi-tiered public spaces establish an openness in the hotel with the Magic City serving as a striking backdrop, while the brand’s Aura Experience Managers set the mood throughout the hotel with meticulously curated music, lighting, and scents to strike the perfect balance. Artwork from fashion photographer Alberto van Stokkum is showcased on the hotel’s first and third floors.
Offering views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline, guestrooms feature custom furnishings by the hotel’s interior design firm, Madrid-based Proffetional. Standout rooms include the soon-to-be-completed deluxe one-bedroom Personality suite on the 14th floor and the two-bedroom Suite ME on the 11th floor.
ME Miami will also house STK Miami, a steakhouse concept from the ONE Group, on the ground floor, reveling in views of Biscayne Boulevard and contemporary design from New York-based ICRAVE. The 14th-floor pool deck will also be home to Bella’s Bar.
The ME brand will continue to expand with the ME Caracas arriving in 2017 and the Zaha Hadid-designed ME Dubai in 2018.
