The 12-room Mercer Hotel Sevilla has arrived with architectural upgrades from Seville-based firm Cruz & Ortiz and interiors from Amanda Molina, Mercer’s projects and communication manager.
Located in the mid-19th-century Casa Palacio Castelar building, the noble staircase acts as a centerpiece and inspiration for the project. The same detail in the moldings can be found throughout the guestrooms and suites, which include a color palette of blue gray and light sea foam green that is enhanced by rich teal accents.
An Andalusian-style courtyard is situated at the heart of the hotel, surrounding the lobby, restaurant, and cocktail bar on the ground floor. A classic chandelier designed by Cruz & Ortiz adds a strong architectural element, while towering ceilings give the intimate public spaces also channel a dramatic effect. Varying color schemes range from gold, moss, and taupe in the restaurant to locally inspired mandarin, russet red, and gold in the bar.

The rooftop terrace features a plunge pool and lounge area, which transforms to a starlit patio at night.
