This spring, Mercer Hoteles will open Mercer Sevilla, a new boutique hotel in Spain.
The property, owned by Pedro Molina, will be located in the Seville’s historic center, nearby Plaza Nueva, the La Maestranza bullring, Plaza Molviedro, and Teatro de la Maestranza.
Chosen for their experience with historic renovations, locally based Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos will develop Mercer Sevilla within Casa Palacio Castelar—a modest landmark mansion that dates back to the early 19th century.
Along with 12 guestrooms and suites, the hotel will feature two courtyards, one of which is an entirely new addition; a 20-seat restaurant; a bar and lounge; a rooftop terrace, pool, and bar; as well as a ground-level pool.
