The Montecito Club in Montecito, California is set to reopen following more than three years of renovations. Part of the Ty Warner Hotels & Resorts collection, the property will continue to further maximize its optimal coastal location the provides both ocean views as well as the backdrop of the Santa Ynez Mountains.
The grand Great Room will welcome visitors upon arrival, laid with handwoven Persian carpets atop oak floors. Hand-chiseled plaster will line the walls, while finishes and textiles in tones of ivory, gold, and burgundy will reflect a Moroccan-Andalusian architecture influence that also complements the site’s Spanish architecture. Custom crystal chandeliers and a 10-foot-tall sandstone fireplace carved with a mahogany mantel also inject warmth and elegance across the interior. Also framed in mahogany, with backlit Italian onyx and brass is the indoor-outdoor bar. Equipped with a dozen seats, the venue overlooks the club’s iconic Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, while the bistro-style Member’s Grill comprises 64 seats nearby. The Montecito Club is also endowed with wine rooms enclosed in glass and steel, while the men’s lounge bar embraces the thematic materiality of handcarved Mahogany and ebonized Italian walnut. A brass bar and mirrored ceilings are also featured, illuminated by handmade brass sconces. The onsite private dining room stands out among the F&B options with museum-quality Zillij tile mosaics, handcarved walls, and a tooled and textured cedar ceiling above the 15-foot-long dining table.
In addition to the 6,500-square-foot fitness center, spaces such as the bowling alley, tennis courts, and 30,000-square-foot lawn the children’s club promote wellness and active lifestyles across the property. Additional amenities include numerous pools, the 22-seat Dolby Atmos Theater and the 4,800-square-foot ballroom, which accommodates 200 guests beneath 50-foot-tall ceilings.
