Moxy has kicked off its expansion throughout the Southeastern U.S. with the opening of the Moxy Chattanooga Downtown. Five additional Moxy properties in Atlanta; Memphis, Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; and Nashville (with two openings) are also slated to open this year.
Spread across four stories, the 108-room Moxy Chattanooga is crafted by New York-based firm Celano Design Studio as a reflection of the Tennessee city’s eclectic art and entertainment scene within the city’s emerging Southside neighborhood. Celano Design will also oversee the design for the Moxy Nashville Downtown, which is expected to debut in May 2019.
Slated to open later this month, the 155-room Moxy Atlanta Midtown will feature guestrooms designed by Richmond, Virginia-based design firm Baskervill and public spaces designed by Streetsense. A rooftop pool will crown the property, which also boasts meeting spaces and a fitness center. The LEED-certified hotel will also showcase an array of artful details including a 54-foot mural from local artist Greg Mike.
Spring 2019 will see the opening of both the Moxy Memphis Downtown and the Moxy Nashville Vanderbilt at Hillsboro Village—both of which will be designed in collaboration with Tennessee firms Manuel Zeitlin Architects and Bounds & Gillespie Architects. Expect a modern front porch at the 118-room Moxy Memphis Downtown, while the Moxy Nashville Vanderbilt will host 130 guestrooms and 47 residences across six stories.
The Moxy Louisville will open in November 2019. Situated in the revitalized Whiskey Row neighborhood, the 110-room hotel, designed by HKS, will be dual-branded alongside the Hotel Distil, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel.
