Minimalist Japanese lifestyle brand MUJI has launched its first hotel in its hometown, the Ginza district of Tokyo. Located atop the MUJI international flagship, the hotel comprises 79 clean and modern guestrooms that vary in size and come in nine interior configurations.
Ranging from 155 square feet to 560 square feet, each accommodation of the MUJI Hotel is wrapped in a palette of natural materials including wood and stone. Paving stones that once lined Tokyo trolley routes have been upcycled and are used throughout the interior along with materials sourced from ship debris. In addition to a retail component, onsite amenities include two MUJI restaurants, two galleries, a MUJIComplex, event space, library, and salon.
