South Pacific property Nanuku, Auberge Resorts Collection, has announced the opening of 13 new luxury villas installed along the shoreline of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu. Designed by Grounds Kent Architects of Australia, the new one- and two-bedroom accommodations are set to arrive on the property in late November 2018.
Exterior designs will pay homage to the British Colonial character of Fiji, with timber linings, native plaster, and cedar shingles. A contemporary and sustainable spin will be put on the accommodations with locally sourced timber, sustainable mahogany, and roofing made from recycled materials. Outfitted with indoor-outdoor living spaces, each luxury villa will boast amenities such as a private courtyard, plunge pools lined with natural, Balinese sukabumi tile, expansive covered terraces, pool cabanas, and more.
Two-story Beachfront villas will be positioned on Nanuku’s private beach, while Garden villas will be nestled among tropical flora. One-bedroom and two-bedroom variations will span 900 and 1,850 square feet, respectively. Individual villas will be designed to form three- and four-bedroom units. Master bedrooms will be anchored by four-poster beds with handcarved posts as well as ensuite bathrooms equipped with rainfall showers and custom, freestanding oversized tubs. Walk-in closets and private balconies will be featured as well.
