Nobu Hotels has opened its newest location on the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula in Los Cabos. The brand’s first hotel in Mexico, the beachfront Nobu Hotel Los Cabos is designed by WATG to reflect both Nobu’s signature Japanese minimalism with a chic, laidback style that is distinctly Mexican. The new Nobu hotel also draws inspiration from Malibu Ryokan, Nobu’s West Coast cousin in California.
The company has also announced plans to continue its expansion into London with a forthcoming Nobu Hotel London Portman Square poised to open in the city’s West End. Slated to debut in Portman Square W1 in spring 2020, the hotel will comprise 239 guestroom and suites as well a Nobu restaurant, ballroom, and meeting spaces. Locally based architecture and design practice David Collins Studio will collaborate on the design with Make Architects.
