The boutique OD Barcelona hotel is set to open next month in the heart of the Spanish city’s Exiample district. As the brand’s first outpost on the Spanish mainland, the 98-room property will be crafted by locally based architect Victor Rahola and feature interiors from Mayte Matutes that emphasize spaciousness and natural light.
The hotel’s elegant architecture will be punctuated with a green, vegetated façade as part of a property-wide sustainability initiative that will also include the installation of solar panels. The fluid interiors will be appointed with bespoke furnishings and textiles that will complement the Mediterranean style of the design while also instilling a sense of place. Included among accommodations will be the grand suite, equipped with a private terrace and swimming pool. Onsite amenities will also include the lobby bar, restaurant, and versatile rooftop terrace.
