Located on the edge of the Nyungwe rainforest in southwest Rwanda, the One&Only Nyungwe House will open within a tea plantation next month. Immersing guests in the natural setting, the 23-room retreat will reflect local African craftsmanship through a contemporary lens.
Amenities will include a farm-to-table dining concept as well as spa and wellness offerings such as yoga hosted within a treehouse. Log burners will burn fragrant eucalyptus into each room and suite, which will be equipped with expansive private decks that overlook the sweeping terrain. Viewing galleries will also be installed to frame the lush views and emphasize the property’s investment in environmental preservation.
