Hospitality real estate development company Palisociety has turned to Seattle as the city for its first property outside of its native Los Angeles. The Palihotel Seattle is located within the former Colonnade Hotel, a century-old landmark in the heart of the city’s downtown. Redesigned by Palisociety founder Avi Brosh and his team, the four-floor address reflects the ethos of the brand with a medley of elements that convey irreverence as well as accessibility and comfort.
Like the guestrooms, the lobby is adorned with deep shades of moss green alongside mixed patterns, intricate detailing, and artwork that amplifies the history of the structure. A custom reception desk bids a warm welcome to visitors beneath 15-foot-tall ceilings and skylights. Conceived as a hub for informal meetings or socializing, the space is appointed with a fireplace and layered textiles that communicate the unique personality of the city. Beyond a set of double doors, the Hart and the Hunter restaurant reinterprets the traditional diner in an elevated, industrial fashion. Whitewashed concrete walls are crafted along with checkerboard floors, contemporary light fixtures, and various banquette arrangements. Included among the hotel’s 96 guestrooms are king, queen, twin, and bunk variations outfitted with bespoke furnishings.
