Avi Brosh’s Palisociety has inaugurated its fifth location in Los Angeles with the Palihotel Westwood Village, which spans three stories and 55 rooms within the former Claremont Hotel, the neighborhood’s first hotel.
Designed in-house, the property is defined by upscale, urban elements that echo Palisociety’s signature whimsical visual storytelling. The airy lobby is anchored by a standalone vestibule enclosed in etched glass and wood beside a central communal kitchen. The residential-style kitchen is outfitted with an island, wraparound counter, and open shelving and wears a polished, neutral palette to infuse warmth. A large print by Osamu Yakonami also serves as a key focal point of the lobby, which is further populated by an array of indoor-outdoor seating and bistro tables as it organically connects to the external courtyard.
Neutral shades of gray, cream, white, and taupe dress accommodations, some of which feature an entry space outfitted with chevron-patterned wood floors while others feature hexagonal clay tiling. Midcentury-style paper lanterns are suspended overhead to illuminate wood-etched wallpaper that depicts animals and wildlife landscapes and custom furniture. Scandinavian-inspired furnishings abound alongside quirkier details like Sherpa-covered headboards. Carrera marble countertops, wooden vanities, rain showers are installed in each bathroom.
