Palisociety will continue to grow its footprint next year with the launch of the Palihouse Santa Barbara. Slated for a spring 2021 opening, the 24-room residential-style boutique hotel in the coastal locale’s Historic Presidio neighborhood will occupy the site of the former Santa Barbara School of the Arts. Palisociety founder Avi Brosh will spearhead the redesign of the historic Spanish Colonial-inspired property with the brand’s in-house design team to establish a vernacular at the intersection of “vintage preppy” and “American Riviera.”
Palihouse Santa Barbara will welcome visitors with an intimate reception area that hosts an airy lobby lounge as well as a cocktail bar, garden café, and Mediterranean-style courtyard. In addition to outdoor amenities like lush courtyards and the onsite pool, the property will feature a fitness center and a multifunctional space for private dining and events. Spread across two floors, guestrooms and suites will range from 375 to more than 800 square feet. Each accommodation will be outfitted with a sitting area and a fireplace and include either a balcony or courtyard access. Select chambers will also be equipped with a kitchenette and dining space.
