Singapore-based interior design practice FBEYE International has unveiled its design of the 300-room Park Hotel Farrer Park in the city-state’s Little India district as part of a mixed-use development that hosts specialist medical suites, retail, and more.
Reception desks welcome visitors with a lacquered eggshell finish, capped in Portoro gold marble, which also accents the Sophia gold and crema marfil marble that graces the floors and walls. Locally inspired decorative glass light panels illuminate Santos rosewood timber and hairline bronze panels. The lobby is outfitted with the Deli, which is appointed with custom cabinetry and furniture dressed in leather and plush fabrics.
Guestrooms and loft suites maximize square footage with custom designed working desks, freestanding jewelry boxes, mini bars, and TV cabinets. Open wardrobes and full-length mirrors complement ambient lighting and luxurious carpeting. Headboards are clad in soft cream paneling and Santos rosewood panels offset by wallcoverings. Bathrooms are furnished with two different marbles.
The fifth floor is home to a pool, outdoor bar, and open-void deck that stretches across the hotel’s exterior. Also open on the fifth floor is the signature Thai eatery Blue Jasmine, which evokes an authentic Peranakan backdrop through commissioned art and work from local artisans. Cabinetry features touches of colonial architecture and handcrafted, encaustic floor tiles. Abundant natural light illuminates the interior’s exposed brick, concrete tones, gleaming white subway tiles, and custom upholstery. Screens clad with Chinese patterns descend from the 25-foot-tall ceilings at night for added intimacy. A large outdoor area is also attached.
Serving as the elegant onsite meetings venue, the executive lounge features high ceilings, contemporary custom chandeliers, frosted glass, black metal trims, and a small outdoor terrace. Lush carpeting harmonizes with travertine walls, while custom murals inject tranquility with depictions of ascending cloud formations. Tables and chairs evoke sleek modern lines, clad in lacquered timber and faux leather.
