The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek in Beaver Creek, Colorado has unveiled its redesigned lobby in time to commemorate its 30th anniversary. Dallas-based firm Premier Project Management oversaw the redesign of the convivial alpine space, which maximizes a panoramic backdrop of natural views.
The new Brass Bear Bar sits at the heart of the lobby beneath a big chandelier comprising a dozen integrated downlights and 175 pendants suspended from various heights to recall falling ice crystals. A central, cantilevered live-edge wood bench frames the new granite fireplace, whose sculptural presence is accentuated with large slabs of polished marble and satin brass detailing. Set against a metal screen as well as bronze, glass, and wood log elements, the relocated reception desk affords guests more intimacy, while faux dancing flames projected by LED lighting and water vapor further immerse visitors in the natural influence of the hotel.
