The vertical mixed-use Post Oak is slated to arrive in Houston this March. Gensler will lead the masterplanning, architecture, and design of the project, which includes a 250-room hotel, office, residential, retail, and restaurant offerings. In addition to existing oak trees, more than $1 million will be spent to transplant an install large specimen oak trees to the development.
The 700,000-square-foot tower will house the luxury hotel as well as boutique office space and 20 residential apartments. The tower will feature plush custom seating, garden views, and curated artwork, while the lobby will aim to amplify drama with the world’s second-largest chandelier along with elegant finishes and furnishings. An open plaza will also be installed with outdoor dining patios and lush pedestrian landscapes. Additional amenities will include a two-story spa and salon, signature restaurants, and retail. A structure adjacent to the tower will house 35,000 square feet of multifunctional space, complete with two ballrooms at 16,000 square feet and 3,000 square feet, and 10,000 square feet of conference space.

Guestrooms will range from 500 to 2,000 square feet, and will each feature five-fixture deluxe bathrooms. Elevated accommodations will include the presidential suite and the 5,000-square-foot two-bedroom Chairman suite, which will boast a private elevator, media room, fitness room, and private terrace.
