Beirut-based firm Rabih Geha Architects has debuted the Pop-Up Lounge Bar on the rooftop of the Four Seasons Hotel Beirut. Open to the public for five months, the new space comprises an enveloping layer of 80 columns interwoven with jasmine plants to create new definition for the outdoor space.
The added layer of square black columns establishes a visually graphic identity and a rhythm to the rooftop, contrasting its existing white tubular details. The interior layer of the design strikes an ideal balance in height and also open up lines for visual communication thanks to the calm tones of the greenery. The columns enable improved air circulation during the warm evenings while colorful, illuminated ceramic patterns inject a playfulness into the design.
