On the heels of the Big Easy’s Tricentennial year, the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans is slated to undergo a $40 million renovation courtesy of Brookline, Massachusetts-based studio Jinnie Kim Design. Scheduled to kick-off in May, the renovation will be executed in homage to the historic Beaux Arts Maison Blanche building it calls home.
The upgrade will impact 421 of the hotel’s 527 well-appointed guestrooms and suites, instilling a vibrant and colorful flair that responds to the culture of New Orleans. The luxury accommodations will refurnish rooms in two color stories, with executive suites adorned with tones of sky blue and orchid smoke, while deluxe rooms will revel in shades of ruby and slate. A destination all its own, the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans Spa will also receive an upgrade as part of the revamp. As the city’s largest spa, the 25,000-square-foot space will have each of its 22 treatment rooms renewed as well as the salon and relaxation areas.
