A new luxury lifestyle retreat has debuted along the Delaware River in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Edgy and elegant, River House at Odette’s features a refreshing aesthetic spearheaded by Philadelphia-based Stokes Architecture + Design in homage to actress and musician Odette Myrtil and her convivial cabaret and restaurant Chez Odette, which was a fixture in the region for more than two decades. River House at Odette’s weaves this historical narrative across the property through colorful contemporary architecture, as well as salvaged artwork and décor.
To conjure up a localized feel, River House greets guests with a façade of stone, sourced from a local quarry, and steel-framed windows that instill a modern industrial sensibility. The property incldues three onsite F&B venues: Odette’s Restaurant & Lounge, the Piano Lounge cocktail parlor, and the Roof, which delivers an elevated nightlife experience inspired by the 1970s.
A boutique-inspired flair characterizes the hotel’s 36 stately guestrooms and suites, which were designed by Villanova, Pennsylvania-based studio Balongue Design. Bold floral murals form an artful backdrop in each residential-style chamber, accented by tufted leather headboards, jewel-toned furnishings, and framed river and mountain views.
