Set on the shores of Lake Fuschl at the edge of the Austrian Alps, Rosewood Schloss Fuschl has officially opened its doors.
Dating back to 1461, the property was used as a grand hunting lodge and summer residence for the Archbishop of Salzburg prior to evolving into a resort destination.
A comprehensive renovation transformed the former Hotel Schloss Fuschl into 98 elegantly furnished guestrooms, including 42 suites and six chalets. The reimagined property blends historical charm with the region’s natural mountain landscape.
The hotel’s public spaces, guestrooms, and the spa were designed by international design firm G.A Group, while heritage suites and chalets were crafted by Austrian-based interior design firm Bauer Stahl. The design is centered around the color palettes of the region’s summer, fall, winter, and spring fauna. For instance, hand-painted mini bars depicting the four seasons by local Austrian artist Marie Hartig are featured throughout all the guestrooms.
Rosewood Schloss Fuschl features six F&B concepts—including Schloss Restaurant, Schloss Bar, Sisi Tee Salon, Seeterrasse, Schloss Fuschl See Club, and Vinothek and Terrace—designed by German-based interior design firm, DiPPOLD.
Other amenities include a fitness center, hair salon, and the Asaya Spa at Rosewood Schloss Fuschl includes indoor and outdoor infinity pools, three saunas, one steam bath, and eight thoughtfully designed treatment rooms across 16,000 square feet.
The opening of Rosewood Schloss Fuschl marks the brand’s second outpost in Austria and seventh in Europe, following the opening of Rosewood Munich last October.
