The Confidante hotel in Miami Beach, part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, has debuted its newly reimagined backyard bungalow as cocktail lounge, Nina’s House. Designed by locally based Saladino Design Studio, Nina’s House is set within a historic house from the 1930s named for the famed Argentinian globetrotter and local muse Nina Cambiaso Constanza.
The design reflects vintage surf, skate, and rock culture with distressed wall treatments, custom surfboards, local artwork, and antique leather furniture. Eclectic taxidermy and a gold bust of Elvis Presley serve as conversation pieces alongside a palette of walnut and earth tones with pops of color.
“We wanted to create a nomadic den of fashion, art, and music in a cozy bungalow. A place where the surfer has a drink with the musician, and his artist girlfriend,” says Sean Saladino, principal of Saladino Design Studio. “It’s an eclectic mix of style in a bohemian setting.”
