Floret restaurant helmed by chef Joe Ogrodnek will join Sister City when it opens in January 2019. Designed in-house by Atelier Ace, the restaurant and new microhotel brand from Ace Hotels will evoke a Japanese-meets-Scandinavian design scheme.
“We wanted to create a bit of serenity in the midst of the city—a place where our guests felt truly cared for and also at the center of their own experience. We took a simple, considered approach to the design that championed compassion, functionality, and human experience,” says Atelier Ace’s chief brand officer Kelly Sawdon. “We’re excited to see how it evolves as guests arrive and make it their own.”
Lush greenery will populate the Floret dining room, expressing the oasis theme behind the restaurant’s conception. Accented with high-finish Italian terrazzo tiling and exposed brick, the F&B space will feature seasonal alfresco seating as well. The property’s 11th floor will be home to the rooftop bar, also led by Ogrodnek.
