Six Senses has announced plans to launch a new property in the idyllic Austrian Alps. The Six Senses Kitzbühel Alps will open in 2020 with 80 rooms, 50 residences, and a small village of chalets.
The International Architecture Workshop (IAW) will oversee the architecture of the hotel and chalets, while London-based Martin Brudnizki Design Studio will craft the interiors in collaboration with the team from Six Senses Creative. The concept will reflect traditional Austrian design through a modern lens, with warm, natural finishes that include wood, stone, and exposed timber beams.
F&B spaces will include an all-day delicatessen, a lobby bar, signature restaurant, and spa café appointed with indoor-outdoor seating and a fireplace. The project will strive for LEED certification, emphasizing energy technology through solar or heat exchange.
